High street shoe retailer, Aldo Rise, has recently collaborated with leading British high end designers, Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi of luxury label Preen for an exclusive collection.
Thornton and Bregazzi, both partners in personal and business founded their luxury label in 1996. With both designers stemming from the Isle of Man, they claim they both have a joint love of all things Victoriana, a passion for recycling, and a masculine and feminine, hard/soft mix, which the couple bring to their designs. Preen has clearly been a big hit. Exhibiting at New York Fashion Week and sold in over 25 countries in luxury retailers, the designers also have a strong high-profile, high-style celebrity following including Kate Moss, Scarlett Johansson, Carey Mulligan, Kate Bosworth, Diane Kruger, Gwyneth Paltrow, Beyonce & Thandie Newton all fans of the label.
With the retail industry notoriously tough in all sectors, many luxury designers are looking at more commercial opportunities which allow them to enter into a mass market and offers them some volume sales, aside from their luxury labels. Aldo Rise is a retailer realising there is demand for a touch of luxury at a value for money price point and is innovating by collaborating with talented designers producing highly affordable shoe lines without the luxury price tag. This is the third collaboration from the savvy shoe retailer who states ” Through Rise, we support, promote and celebrate daring talent in the fashion community – collaborating designers work intimately with Rise to turn their visions into reality”.
The Preen & Aldo Rise collection exhibits a mix of designs featuring featuring flashes of neon and snakeskin.
A fabulous way to get a touch of designer luxury at an affordable price.
All shoes are retailing at $189.95 and available in all Aldo Stores or from www.aldoshoes.com from August 2013
